Its 250-micron polycarbonate face material protects the print underneath, delivering exceptional resistance to scratching, abrasion, UV exposure, impact, chemicals, cleaning products and extreme temperatures. UltraTuff Asset Labels offer a robust yet cost-effective option for environments that require durable identification without the extreme resilience of polycarbonate (better for long-term outdoor applications). These labels combine a vinyl base with an everyday use adhesive. The ink is protected underneath the base material, keeping the printed information safe from abrasion and wear.

They are widely used for IT equipment, office and school assets, warehouse tools and general business equipment. Highly durable long-term solution for indoor applications and medium-term solution for outdoor applications.

Ultra-Destruct Vinyl Labels Effective Tamper Protection

Where equipment theft, misuse or unauthorised transfer is a concern, Ultra-Destruct Vinyl provides a highly effective solution. Once applied, these labels break apart if anyone attempts to remove them, making tampering immediately evident and preventing reuse.

VOID Polyester labels offer a different type of tamper evidence. When removed, they leave the word “VOID” on the surface beneath, providing a clear and unmistakable indication that the equipment has been interfered with.

3M Polyester Laminated Tags Practical and Economical

For organisations needing efficient and cost-effective tagging, our 3M Polyester Laminated Asset Tags provide a simple and durable solution.

They provide the tag in both a standardised format which feature a pre-printed “Asset Tag – DO NOT REMOVE” header and a customisable product where customers can choose and edit their own header content.

Both products offer only offer customisable colour blocks, numbering and barcoding. If you require a more complex/full-colour design, then you will need to look at either or UltraTuff or Ultimate options.

We will layout your asset label design then manufacture an actual finished label and send these out by 1st class post for you to test.

Our label designers will use their experience to create an effective design incorporating a logo, bar code, serial number and text if required.

For best results we recommend the test area is cleaned to remove any grease or dust and the label applied firmly then left for 72 hours, this will provide maximum adhesion to test the materials effectively.

QR Code Asset Labels

QR Codes are being increasingly used to enable more information to be included on the label. They can be sequentially numbered or provide a ‘quick link’ to a website or product. Tablets and smartphones can be used to scan the QR codes on the asset labels making data collection easier.  Custom Labels can produce QR codes or Datamatrix codes for all our label types.

Data can be supplied via a spreadsheet or as a database of unique URL’s, the size of the code varies depending on the amount of information within the label.

Applying Asset Labels & Asset Tags – a Quick Guide

To give the best results wipe the application area (using a solvent wipe or screen cleaner works well), then remove the label from the sheet and avoid touching the adhesive side where possible.

Place it in the dry clean position taking care not to peel the label off to reposition it. Press firmly in place and leave for a minimum of 24 hours, almost all adhesives have a stronger bond the longer they are left.

We would recommend placing the asset label or tag in a convenient position, avoiding areas where people are likely to see it as a ‘challenge’ to remove the label.
